This position provides an experienced candidate an opportunity to step into a senior technology position to help lead the development of this a growing MSP.

The Support Desk Engineer candidate should have experience in the support of computing and networking information technology solutions. In this position the employee will be expected to provide client support, as well as help-desk and on-site Tier I and II support for various IT solutions.

The ideal candidate will need varied client IT support experience with supporting a variety of computing and networking technologies with an IT Solutions Provider/MSP. We're looking for experienced engineers with a background in managed services. Our firm provides technology consulting services to businesses in the NY/NJ area. Our clients are mostly made up of medium-sized businesses (100-2,000 users) with technology platforms built on Microsoft, VMware or Hyper-V.

Job Description:
  • Support a corporate user environment averaging from 50 to 15 nodes in size
  • Network infrastructure support (Internet, Firewall, DNS, Switching, Routing, Remote Access)
  • Server admin support (AD/Users/File Sharing)
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Server platforms (troubleshooting, active directory, group policy, desktop support)
  • Support of email using Microsoft Exchange and 365 hosted platforms
  • (along with configuration of MX/SPF records, ActiveSync, Antispam, etc.)
  • Centralized deployment and management of Microsoft Office (2007 through 2013)
  • Provide user training to client's IT staff for deployed systems
  • Support backup technologies across supported platforms (virtualization, server, desktop, data)
  • Support of MAC OSx 9/10/11

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience with an extensive amount of MSP-specific work
  • Must have experience with ConnectWise PSA and LabTech RMM
  • Must be well-spoken, have excellent writing skills, be extremely personable/customer-service oriented and thrive on the pressure that comes with a network/system's management role
