    Key responsibilities involve:
    • The analysis, investigation and report back on costs, variances of production and stock within the business, to optimise profitability.
    • Reconciliation of balance sheet and expense accounts, processing of labour broker invoices, transport and other supplier statements.
    • Working knowledge of SAP, IFRS and budget management is essential.
    • MS Office skills at intermediate level is another inherent requirement.
    • B. Comm or Diploma in Cost Accounting, coupled with 3-5 years cost accounting experience (gained in large manufacturing environment is advantageous)

    Duties include:

    • Prepare AFS in accordance with IFRS
    • Control of the fixed asset register
    • Responsible for the administration of monthly stock counts

    Technical Maintenance Planner - Management Services

    The incumbent will be responsible to plan maintenance and technical services work. Administer the maintenance management system (CMMS), monitor and generate reports on maintenance performance for management decision making. This position is based in Port Elizabeth.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Implement maintenance strategies and develop maintenance procedures
    • Utilise latest maintenance management tools to ensure effective maintenance of all assets
    • Pro-actively manage communication and relationships with all customers. Act as liaison between customers and Facilities Management staff
    • Apply the latest maintenance safety technologies to ensure best-in-class maintenance safety performance and statutory compliance
    • Develop detailed work packages from preventive maintenance routine (PMR) findings and corrective maintenance activities for all maintenance teams
    • Analyse and screen corrective maintenance (CM) SSR’s and burning maintenance issues for opportunities to assist with root cause failure analysis to prevent future failures
    • Coordinate root cause analysi;
    • Attend to procedural and equipment issues that arise and require engineering evaluation and direction to improve specific maintenance procedures
    • Assist Maintenance supervisors with technical problems as may be required from time to time
    • Analyse spare parts inventory requirements and continuously improve inventory control
    • Compile periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) to ensure Facilities Management Leadership has up to date information for decision making
    • Implement Facilities Management’s procurement requirements for spares, materials and outsourced work
    • Permit to work authorisation - Occasional requirement to work extended hours and come in weekends.
    Qualifications, skills and experience:
    • National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering advantageous
    • Trade test certificate qualification will be advantageous
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ planning experience
    • Supervision of skilled maintenance trades
    • An understanding of Facilities Management and building maintenance
    • Good organisational skills
    • Experience in analysing trends in performance parametres
    • Ability to write reports

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
